He is one of a kind performer and master of his trade making people happy. His music has no limit or even season, you can listen to his music anytime and be satisfied. I was nine years old when I first heard his music and since then He has played a vital role and inspiration in my life. I am not 65 years old and still very much hooked on him. You will never learn to understand why people like me never outgrew our devotion to him unless you appreciate real talent like Elvis. There are other contenders but nobody will ever be like him because there is only one king of rock and roll and that is ELVIS !

MARI
I never liked Elvis as a kid, born in '48, and all my friends thought I was "crrrraaaazzzzyyyy"! My husband was a huge fan, really just addicted. I never understood it. Then in the early 70's he came to the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City and my hubby HAD to see him in person. I of course went with him even though I was not happy about it. By the end of the concert they were holding me back and I was crying my eyes out. He really did have some kind of magic I never got through radio or t.v. But having him sing to me in person nearly caused me heart failure and I would have done anything, and I mean anything to get close to him. I did get a white scarf that night cuz we were so close to the front, about 3 rows back. I will never forget it. The audience was filled with people from 10 to 80 years old. I was absolutely amazed. Thank God I was able to see him and appreciate him for the wonderful performer he was.

I know if he was able he would thank you himself, and some of the great comments that everyone has put out. I miss Elvis and love him very much. I wish that I would have been there when he passed but I was elsewhere. In the hearts of many Elvis lives on. His voice will be heard by his music, Elvis was a great person and entertainer. He lives within our hearts.

Never rely on that saying. I visited Graceland 2 years ago. It was as if he was still there & just on tour somewhere. I took my time walking thru with the escorted crowd, trying to be alone where you could. It was wonderful & quite a good feeling. There will never be another ELVIS!!! His voice was & is uncomparable to anyone. He lead his life as best he could--too many people controlling him wanting a piece of the action/money. Too bad he couldn't see thru those kinds of people--maybe he would still be here today. He was a good generous man. If you have not been to Graceland--you need to go there. Stay at the Heartbreak Hotel right across the street from Graceland & close to his museums. Perfect place for a perfect time. Where ever you are---TCB
January 10 2010 at 3:08 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI remember when I saw Elvis in concert at the Niagara Falls' Convention center. I recall bringing my small tape recorder to record the concert. On the way home, expecting to re-live this spectacular show, I put the tape in the player and all I can hear was myself yelling and screaming. I suppose in a way, I did re-live it. Thanks Elvis for a lifetime of memories.

It was Elvis at this best!
