Noah and the Whale's Equipment Is Found

Life is full of surprises, some of them good and some of them bad. Back in October, Spinner reported how purveyors of indie-folk Noah and the Whale awoke after a gig in Manchester on Sept. 30 to find that all of their equipment had been stolen from a trailer left outside their hotel in Manchester. The band has now received some good news after the missing gear was recovered -- in a barn in Lincolnshire. It transpires that the barn's owner was persuaded to stash the gear after the thieves - who were subsequently arrested - encountered problems with their getaway vehicle.
When the thieves failed to show up to retrieve the stolen equipment, the barn's owner became somewhat suspicious and the stencilled 'Noah and the Whale' lettering on the flight cases gave the game away.
The suspected thieves have been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and have been bailed until Jan. 23.
Noah and the Whale will play their biggest headlining gig to date when they play London's legendary Roundhouse venue on Mar. 12 before embarking on a 10-date tour of France four days later.
