Former Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan is set to appear on the new UNKLE album, according to James Lavelle's (pictured) official blog.Lavelle and bandmate Tim Goldsworthy are at the mixing stage of new record 'Where Did The Night Fall,' and have revealed the cast of collaborators helping them out:
He said, "We have been putting the final touches on three tracks this week, 'Natural Selection' with the Black Angels, 'Caged Bird' featuring the vocals of Katrina Bird who sings in a band called Celebration and 'Another Night Out' featuring the mighty Mark Lanegan."
'Where Did The Night Fall' is Unkle's follow up to 2008's 'End Titles... Stories For Film' which was also a collaboration-heavy effort, featuring members of Black Mountain, White Denim and Queens of the Stone Age.
UNKLE released the EP 'Heavy Drug (Surrender Sounds Mix)' in the summer, with a remixed version of the track said to be appearing on the upcoming album. 'Where Did The Night Fall' marks their seventh proper LP since forming in 1994.
Lavelle completed a short European tour as a DJ before Christmas, with dates in Australia scheduled for January and February.
