Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke was the victim of a hit-and-run accident last weekend. The 47-year-old, who's also a veteran of the CBS TV series 'Rock Star: Supernova,' was hospitalized on Sunday after he was struck on his motorcycle.
"Some a--hole turned in front of [Gilby when] he was on a bike," Riki Rachtman, Clarke's friend and former host of MTV's 'Headbanger's Ball' after visiting him in the hospital, wrote on Twitter. "His leg's busted up pretty bad. It was a hit-and-run."
"Gilby's got some good breakage in that leg," Rachtman added. "He is in good spirits considering."
Clarke joined Guns N' Roses in late 1991 after guitarist Izzy Stradlin exited the group. Since exiting GN'R, Clarke has played with Heart and kept busy producing the likes of L.A. Guns, the Bronx and others.
