The Cure's Robert Smith Goes Solo on 'Alice in Wonderland' Soundtrack

You've got a very important date. Two of them, in fact. On March 5, Tim Burton's wildly imaginative 3D "remix" of 'Alice in Wonderland' hits the silver screen. But first, on Tuesday, March 2, 'Almost Alice' will hit retailers, taking listeners on their own audio journey down the rabbit hole. On Tuesday, MySpace revealed the entire tracklist for the soundtrack, which includes a solo performance from the Cure's Robert Smith ('Very Good Advice') and contributions from a range of emo pop and pop-punk bands such as the All-American Rejects, Owl City and Motion City Soundtrack. In that same vein, Blink-182's Mark Hoppus teams up with Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz on the song, 'In Transit.'
But it's not all guyliner and gloom: Franz Ferdinand and Wolfmother also contribute tracks. Of course, the true gem could potentially turn out to be Grace Potter and the Nocturnal's sure-to-be-rockin' cover of 'White Rabbit.' That said, the first single will be 'Alice (Underground)' by Avril Lavigne.
