Fatboy Slim and Wife Zoe Ball Welcome Baby Girl

Fatboy SlimBreak out the cigars -- Fatboy Slim, aka Norman Cook, is a father again. The 46-year-old DJ/producer and his wife, British television host Zoe Ball, are the proud parents of Nelly May Lois Cook, who was born on Thursday, Jan. 14.

Weighing in at eight pounds, the baby is the couple's second child after their nine-year-old son, Woody. A representative for the family released a statement saying, "Mum, Dad and big brother Woody are doing great. They are the happiest Mama and Dad in the world."

The good news of the pregnancy came after a rough start to 2009 for the couple, as Slim checked into rehab for alcoholism last March. The 39-year-old ball announced that they were expecting in July, and told UK's Daily Mail in October "I'm pretty darn happy at the moment. Norm and I tried for a baby for years with no joy, but we both quit drinking this year and, lo and behold, it worked! So I'm feeling quite blessed."

In music news, Slim paired with David Byrne on the upcoming Imelda Marcos-inspired concept album, 'Here Lies Love.' The 22-song, two-disc set will feature guest vocals by Tori Amos, Sharon Jones, Florence Welch, St. Vincent, Cyndi Lauper, Santigold, Steve Earle, Natalie Merchant and more. The record due out next month. Congrats, Fatboy.

I think they are marvelous to have a beautiful child and maintain their legendary status. I lived in LA in the late 90's (my college years at USC at the Palladium and I saw him in Vegas) and Fatboyslim still is a Jim Morrison to me! He is a legend....no doubt...I still love his music 10 years later.....!
