Oscar-Winning Actress Sings With Franz Ferdinand in Dior Campaign

In one of the new year's more unlikely collaborations, Franz Ferdinand have teamed up with Academy Award-winning French actress Marion Cotillard to record a new song to launch the new range from fashion label Dior.

Cotillard has been the face of Dior since last year, and sings on the song 'The Eyes Of Mars' written by the Glaswegian band. The song can be heard online at ladydior.com now.

Cotillard's vocal credentials were plain to see when she portrayed Edith Piaf in 'La Vie en Rose' (2007), and the new song will soundtrack an advert where Cotillard plays a humdrum working woman who transforms herself into an elegant nightclub singer at night. The online ad is the latest in a series of publicity-grabbing promotions for the iconic Lady Dior handbag.


Franz Ferdinand's next priorities, meanwhile, take them to Australia for a tour in February before heading to Latin America in March.
