Sorry, Pete Doherty. It looks like Kills guitarist Jamie Hince and supermodel Kate Moss are going to tie the knot. According to the Daily Mail, Hince popped the question over the weekend while the celebrity couple vacationed on the West Indian Island of Mustique.Hince, 40, reportedly flew to the island , where Moss was working, to celebrate her 36th birthday last Saturday. He proposed, offering a diamond ring he chose with the help of her friend and Topshop boss Sir Philip Green. "Kate was stunned," a friend told the newspaper. "Jamie called her up and told her not to come home. He said he was flying out to Mustique."
"He had carefully picked a ring and chose her birthday to propose," the source added. "It was the first time they had been alone together in quite a while and it was extremely emotional. Kate and Jamie are in a very good place, they already live together and this is the next step to settling down for good."
The couple -- who returned to London today and were witnessed smooching by the baggage claim at Heathrow airport -- first met two and a half years ago by a mutual pal, Sadie Frost, backstage at a Kills gig. The September 2007 introduction came just months after Moss broke off her highly publicized and often troubled relationship with Doherty.
