Editors Launch New Monthly Live 'Radio Sessions'

Indie band Editors have been announced to play an intimate show at the Hard Rock Cafe in London at the end of this month.

The band, whose third studio release 'In This Light And On This Evening' charted at number one in the UK album chart in October, will launch a new monthly club night at the venue on Jan. 25.

The tiny gig, in association with UK radio statio Absolute, will be broadcast on the following Thursday (Jan. 28) at 7pm.

Tickets for the Hard Rock/ Absolute shows can only be won via competitions on the radio station. Geoff Lloyd, the DJ hosting the gigs says: "This series of sessions are going to be the hottest tickets in town. It's a rare opportunity to catch one of the country's biggest acts up close in such an intimate venue."

Previously, the venue -- with a capacity of just 200 -- has hosted exclusive shows by Aerosmith, the Charlatans and Fun Lovin' Criminals.

Editors kick off their 2010 full UK tour at the Lincoln Engine Shed on Mar. 6.
