Sprightly electro-pop darlings Hot Chip have all but confirmed they will be playing this year's Glastonbury Festival, as anticipation of new album 'One Life Stand' gathers momentum.Singer Alexis Taylor playfully told BBC Radio 1's Newsbeat, "You'll potentially see us in the Somerset area of the UK around the end of June I reckon. I have been to that part of the world and enjoyed being there. Nice cider there, good music, good atmosphere."
'One Life Stand', the London band's fourth album, is set for release on Feb.8. The five-piece last played Glastonbury in 2008 where they were memorably joined by rapper Wiley during their set on The Other Stage.
Glastonbury 2010 takes place June 25-27, but for those unwilling to wait that long, Hot Chip take to the road in an extensive UK tour in February in promotion of the new record, said to be a more 'relaxed' listen than 2008's sugary, synth-heavy LP 'Made In The Dark'.
