Sir Paul McCartney Happy to Devote Life to Daughter
- Posted on Jan 20th 2010 6:41AM by Barnaby Smith
Sir Paul McCartney has revealed that his six-year-old daughter is the highest priority in his life, with his career coming a distant second.McCartney, who recently admitted to turning down the bass player role in Dave Grohl's supergroup Them Crooked Vultures, had daughter Beatrice with ex-wife Heather Mills in 2003.
Speaking to Live magazine, he said, "I'm a pretty hands-on dad and make the most of my custody. I take care of my little one whenever I can and she determines what I can do and where I can do it."
Sir Paul adds, "I could play the O2 every week for the rest of my life but I'd rather do things as the fancy takes me. Honestly, there is no master plan. My so-called career is a haphazard thing. I'm just having fun and relieved and happy that other people are still interested."
Sir Paul undertook a European tour in 2009 that finished up at the O2 Arena on Dec. 22. There were rumours that the tour was to be his last, though no official announcements were made. In the wake of the tour McCartney then touted the idea of a residency at the Greenwich venue, with again no dates confirmed.

Paul's a good man - he has proven it time and time again since the 60s. Those who want to put somebody down should turn their attentions to people who deserve it; Paul doesn't.

The John comment is typical of the "ilk" who pontificate as if therein lies this absolute truth. You are utterly convinced. It's quite funny.
Get over it. How long has it been now...? I "think" what is true is that Sir Paul really loves what he does. It's attractive. Many of us actually like him. Many of us actually respect his gifts. We like seeing him perform. We, dare I say it, love him.
Sir Paul has been irrelevant for a long time. A true bore at this point. He needs John.

January 20 2010 at 11:12 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThat's really ridiculous How does dying his hair make him a phony and not a good genuine caring father? It doesn't hurt anyone that he colors his hair and he's certainly not the only celebrity or person to do it!

Let's see....he loves what he does, he has a family he loves...sounds like the perfect life to me.
I still loved him when he...and I....were 64....here's to more years and more music!
He says his daughter is his priority, so of course ,that deserves a bashing doesn't it?
With all the miscreants in the World why waste
your negative energy here?, its needed elsewhere!
Of COURSE his daughter is his #1 priority. He always has been one of the good guys in my book!
