L.A.'s favorite psychedelic ensemble the Brian Jonestown Massacre has set a spring tour of North America in support of its 10th studio album, 'Who Killed Sgt. Pepper?' The curiously titled disc, which mastermind Anton Newcombe crafted with the help of onetime Spaceman 3 bassist Will Carruthers, drops on Feb. 23, some three months before the trek's May 28 launch in Minneapolis. The band intends to trek through Australia and New Zealand in February and March and take to European stages in April and May. Newcombe and his ever-changing collective will also play a brief run of dates at London 's Shepherds Bush Empire beginning on May 14.
With a current lineup that counts vocalist Unnur Andrea Einarsdottir, guitarist/vocalitst Matt Hollwood and famed tambourine player Joel Gion -- who was a memorable element in the band's film 'Dig!' -- BJM recorded the 13-song set in Berlin and Iceland last year.

I wish BJM would bring back Jeff Davies on guitar- he was the best.I don't know what happened between him and the band or what the hell he's doing now, but if Matt Hollwood came back surely there's some small hope that he can too? The band is just not the same without him.
