Wrigley Field May Host Paul McCartney, DMB, Phish This Summer

Major League Baseball teams may not be the only ones hitting home runs right out of the ballpark at Wrigley Field this summer. Fox Chicago News reports that the Chicago Cubs, who own the ballpark, are currently in talks with Paul McCartney, Dave Matthews Band, Phish and the long-running Billy Joel and Elton John package which came to Wrigley Field for two dates last season.Concerts at the ballpark were mired in controversy last year when a neighborhood group rallied for the cancellation of a Rascal Flatts concert. The group claimed it violated a previous two-shows per year agreement and that the date conflicted with a neighborhood festival. The Cubs have reassured neighbors that they will work with them to meet their needs and address their concerns.
Nothing has been confirmed so far, but Paul McCartney at Wrigley Field? Break out the peanuts and Cracker Jacks.

Phish has covered the White Album in its' entirety back in 1995 and has consistently performed songs written by Lennon & McCartney in the past. Additionally, they've had numerous interviews where they've cited the Beatles as a huge influence. Not forgetting the fact that the guys from Phish are the old farts you're currently insulting.
It's a shame you're so misguided and confused that you can't even enjoy the same music that Phish likes. Grow up, dude.
Hadn't you old farts gotten your Wrigley concert fill with Silly Joel and Smelton John last year? It's time for a real Wrigley show - PHISH. While they don't promise the high ticket prices SLICK favors, they do promise the high quality music that Paul's old ass simply cannot.

He won't be able to sell out 2 full shows though. He couldn't sell out Fenway on either night. Only the Rolling Stones can sell out Fenway twice with tix topping out at $450! That's who the Ricketts should bring in, the STONES! They'd finally have a "winning" team on the field!
Really? Phish? Don't think the wookies would like trying to sneak into wrigley like they did at Toyota Park. Also harder to pass off the hippies in wrigleyville. DMB didn't even come to Chicago last year because they were having selling tickets in the previous years. Sir Paul definately makes sense with the shows they have drawn in the past (Buffett, Billy Joel/Elton John, the Police)
