Showing no signs of slowing down at 44, Pixies frontman Frank Black has announced details of his new record. 'NonStopErotik', is out on Apr. 5.The album, which contains a cover of the Flying Burrito Brothers' 'Wheels,' was recorded in Brooklyn, Los Angeles and a "haunted studio in London" according to his own self-penned press release.
The man otherwise known as Frank Black said of the ghoulish recording process, "I wrote many a couplet by candlelight in the studio accommodation, slept very little, and only felt the need to get the f--- out of there fast on the last night. The spirits had not ever bothered me, other than low drama moral support, but I was informed that they had heard enough and it was time to move on."
'NonStopErotik' is his first album proper since 2007's 'Bluefinger,' though in 2008 he released the mini-album 'Svn Fngrs' and has also written the score for 1920s silent film 'The Golem.' It was also announced recently that The Pixies will perform at Barcelona's Primavera Sound festival in May.
