"This is an example of how a band falls out with their US label. Did they think we'd approve this s---?" Kapranos tweeted. "Dirty bastards. Stupid arrogant motherf---ing pig-brained a--holes. I'd rather eat a cowpat on a bun than a bloody McDonald's."
While Kapranos' tirade on Twitter was geared toward the fast-food giant and record labels, he later clarified that he has no issues with the band's UK label, Domino, or even McDonald's. "Na, don't really hate McDs. Don't want to eat them either. If I hated anyone it'd be the t--- at Sony, but even then ..." he wrote.
However Kapranos did try to add some humor during his vent session and joked that the McDonald's incident just ruined his chances of a deal with White Castle. "I was going to get a lifetime supply of those cute (much tastier than McD) burgers and they were going to open a Dennistoun franchise," he said.

The Franz Ferdinand lead singer did respond to one fan and revealed some information on new music the band was working on. "We want to write and record as a priority," he wrote. "Nick [McCarthy] and I have been working on new songs all week."
