Radiohead Debut New Song at LA Haiti Earthquake Appeal Fundraiser

Radiohead performed a mammoth 24-song set at LA's Music Box Theatre at the Fonda on Sunday night (Jan. 24) -- including a full band debut for one track -- a last minute gig organised to raise money for Oxfam's Haiti earthquake appeal.The new song song 'Lotus Flower' has previously been performed by singer Thom Yorke during his rare solo appearences, but this weekend got it's full live premiere by the band.
Prior to the one-off gig, for which tickets were auctioned from Thursday last week (Jan. 21), the band announced on Dead Air Space, "We're in the middle of recording at the moment, so you'll be catching us on the fly.... but if you're up for it, then we are too."

Meanwhile, Peter Gabriel has also revealed that Radiohead would like to cover his track 'Wallflower' -- a song about South American human rights -- as part of his 'Scratch My Back' song exchange. He speaks about covering Radiohead's 'Street Spirit' and Thom Yorke's idea during a podcast at his website.
