'Hope for Haiti Now' CD on Track to Top Billboard 200
Early numbers predict the star-studded 'Hope for Haiti Now' album to bow at the top of the Billboard Hot 200 album chart next week. The live performance compilation, taken from last week's 'Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief' telethon, is expected to sell more than 150,000 downloads, making it the first digital-only album to top the U.S. albums chart since its inception nearly 54 years ago.
All proceeds from the sale of the album, featuring 20 tunes by such artists as Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock, Rihanna, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen and Sting, will go to assist the relief efforts in Haiti, which suffered a devastating earthquake less than two weeks ago. The album is now available at iTunes and Amazon. Check below for the album's track listing.
