Sade, 'Soldier of Love (Making Of)' -- Video Premiere

'Soldier of Love,' Sade's long-anticipated studio follow-up to 2000's 'Lover's Rock,' will finally drop on Feb. 8. But first, fans can get a taste of the album via its first single, the title track. In this exclusive video about the making of the video -- accompanied, of course, by the video itself -- Sade's bandmates admit that the song didn't come easy. They recall that they really struggled with 'Soldier of Love' for a while, and even had to walk away from it before they finally nailed it.

The video was also challenging to create. Choreographer Fatima Robinson says here that she hadn't even heard the track prior to the shoot and had little time to prepare. But by the time director Sophie Muller called it a wrap, they had Sade engaged in everything from horseback riding to an authentic tango. Robinson says that Sade has "this undeniable sexiness ... that she doesn't even know she has." That may be true -- she may not know it, but we sure do. Check out the video after the jump.

Thank god for Sade bringing her haunting melodies back to us. She exhudes female power and sensuality. Too bad they included those shots of the male dancers. That visual goes against her artistic sensibilities, and tried to hard to make the video "modern." She shouldn't have to share the screen with anyone. We love you Sade. Anne Marie from Colorado

Not really feeling this but there is something to it that I do like. I wanna see if it grows on me. I've always loved Sade but I didn't like her last album, for the most part. I hope this album will be better.

Video, not so much. Sade, she's the queen. Glad she's back. Will look forward to the rest of the CD. However, few albums will be better than Diamond Life. I'm a product of the 80's, so maybe I am biased. Loved her back then, too.

This is by far the most alluring woman in the music industry and I gratefully welcome her back. I like what the video and song speak of, the struggle we all face in our lovelives and the need to keep at the quest.
I to am from the 80's but adore her ability to trandscend into the present.

I truly enjoyed Sade video. It Is refreshing. It has great artistic value. I get tired of the bump and grind
video.Or the come kill me bring your gun I got mine. I love seeing the artist or the people who create the video bring something new to the canvas.
