Muse Seek Documentary Inspiration From Nirvana

Devon's premier purveyors of gloriously overblown prog, Muse, are looking to an unlikely source of inspiration for their next live DVD -- none other than Nirvana's 1994 tour documentary, 'Live! Tonight! Sold Out!'Although no strangers to live DVDs -- 'Hullabaloo', 'Absolution Tour' and 'H.A.A.R.P.' have all been released over the last eight years -- Muse are now keen to take a different approach for their next audio-visual release.
Currently on tour in Australia as part of the Big Day Out touring festival alongside Kasabian, Lily Allen, Dizzee Rascal and Ladyhawke, bassist Chris Wolstenholme explained to radio station Triple J, "We'd like to do something a little bit more along the lines of a touring documentary as opposed to just a live gig this time."
He continued, "Something a little bit more like Nirvana's 'Live! Tonight! Sold Out!' I think that was one of the best tour documentaries I've ever watched; just life on the road and what it's like, with obviously a bit of music here and there, and other loads of other random stuff as well."
If anything, it seems that Muse are keen to the capture the pomp that goes on backstage as well as on.
He said: "Each tour it seems to get bigger and bigger and there are more buses and more trucks. It's pretty crazy, there are probably 70 or 80 people on tour when we do the big European shows."
