All-Star 'Everybody Hurts' Haiti Single Confirmed for Feb. 7

The all-star single, organised by music mogul Simon Cowell and recorded this week -- to raise money for the Haiti earthquake appeal -- has been confirmed for release as a download on Feb. 7, with a CD being released on Feb. 8.The cover of R.E.M.'s 1993 hit 'Everybody Hurts' features vocal contributions from Jon Bon Jovi, Mariah Carey Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue.
X Factor stars Susan Boyle, Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, Joe McElderry and JLS also feature alongside Miley Cyrus, Take That, Westlife, James Blunt, James Morrison and Mika.
Cowell says getting the single recorded quickly has been "an absolute priority for us all."
JLS member Ortise Williams, who lost relatives the in the Haiti earthquake, also commented, saying, "The tragedy is very close to my heart. It's great to be working with such talented artists all pulling together to make a difference through song."
The Sun newspaper's Helping Haiti fund will receive 50% of the single's proceeds, with the other half going to the Disasters Emergency Committee.
