Road Report: The Gay Blades Wrap Up Tour, Prepare For New Album
- Posted on Jan 29th 2010 6:00PM by The Gay Blades
The Gay Blades recently wrapped up their U.S. tour with Detroit's own Electric Six and Millions of Brazillians, and in the audacious rock duo's third entry, they've highlighted the best moments of their travels. While prepping for the follow-up to their debut album, 'Ghosts,' frontman Clark Westfield took the time to sum up their tour experience, give a shout out to Gibson and talk about what fans should expect from their forthcoming record. When a band goes on tour, sometimes, like your summer camp days, you make life long friends. We spent seven weeks with the guys in Electric Six and Millions of Brazilians, and I hope that ten years from now we make it our beeswax to get together and recount these stories of old over some deliciously futuristic Taco Bell.
Make no mistake about it, we were more than honored to share so many stages in so many cities with those boys, but it's time to be home now. The next time you hear from us, we will be touting a new record, replete with racy narratives, well-placed distortion and bouncy vocals riding comfortably along a broken back beat. Thanks again to everyone at Gibson for helping us make some little girl from Nashville's dream come true. Until we meet again.

Thank you again so much for the guitar! I still can't believe that I won! Oh, and Puppy Mills, the hearts were very thoughtful! TGB4N
