Zac Brown Band Wins Grammy for Best New Artist

The Best New Artist category for this year's Grammy Awards crossed all genres, with the prize going to Atlanta-based country and southern rock group the Zac Brown Band. The group beat out indie rockers Silversun Pickups, synth-dance group MGMT, UK uod Ting Tings and R&B singer Keri Hilson.Zac Brown, the band's lead singer, tried to keep cool and calm as his other bandmates gave their thank yous. Zac Brown Band, who will also perform at the awards show on Sunday evening, were nominated for three Grammys this year. They lost Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals to Lady Antebellum and Best Country Album to Taylor Swift's 'Fearless.'
