Bon Jovi Peform at Grammys for First Time Ever
- Posted on Feb 1st 2010 12:17AM by Amy Sciarretto
The Grammys put the power in the hand of the fans this year -- well, at least when it came to Bon Jovi. Viewers were able to vote on one of the songs that the New Jersey rockers would play during their Grammy performance, which was shockingly the first time they've played the Grammy stage in their long and storied career. The fan-selected song was their biggest hit, 'Livin' on a Prayer,' albeit a truncated version of the song. The band also played 'We Weren't Born to Follow' and 'Who Says You Can't Go Home.'
Bon Jovi have shifted dramatically away from their edgy glam of the '80s in favor of a more adult contemporary rock and country sound. To that end, the band got some help from Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles on 'Who Says You Can't Go Home.'

Seeing Bon Jovi on the Grammys was certainly one of the highlights. This group will go down as one of the most talented, diverse groups in rock and roll history. The new album (The Circle) is pure joy. Listen to "Love's The Only Rule" or "BrokenPromiseLand", and "Superman Tonight". Their creativity never stops becomes it springs from pure talent.

They were great without all the hooplah - no marching robots, no trapeze, no buzzers, bells or whistles - just pure talented musicians. Makes you wonder what the rest of those acts would amount to if you took away all the frills...

Jennifer Nettles should not have sung with him during living on a prayer. We picked the song for him to sing and she should have stayed out of it!!! See you at the NJ concert Jon!
