Ash Broadcasting Q&A and Performance on Livestream Today
- Posted on Feb 3rd 2010 12:30PM by Benjy Eisen
Remember back in 2007 when Ash said they would never put out another album, yet, curiously, insisted they weren't breaking up? They meant it, man. If that confuses you, maybe today is your day to sort it all out. At 3PM ET, Wednesday, the band will participate in a real-time Q&A with fans, following a performance which will be broadcast live around the world in partnership with Livestream. You can watch the stream after the jump at the scheduled time."We're really excited because we've never done anything like this before," guitarist Tim Wheeler tells Spinner. "It's quite unusual to be able to do a worldwide performance in the middle of a recording session." True, that.
The fan-led interrogation will be facilitated through live feeds on Facebook and Twitter. So log on and feel free to ask them, "Hey, why are you in a recording session if you're not releasing another album?"
Actually, don't ask them that. The answer is simple: Much like Smashing Pumpkins, Ash decided that CDs were about as relevant as award shows. So instead of recording one album, Ash are recording 26 songs and releasing them one at a time as part of their 'A-Z Series.' Go ahead -- ask them all about it. Unless, of course, you'd rather find out their favorite color.
