Garbage Look Towards New Album?

Five years on from their last studio album, Garbage have hinted that new material may be on the horizon. Singer Shirley Manson wrote on her Facebook page on Monday (Feb. 1), "Guess who I just spent a week in the studio with? Would you be pleased if I said one of them was called Steve and another one was called Duke and another was a Grammy-winning producer?"
Manson's comments refer, of course, to Garbage bandmates Steve Marker, Duke Erikson and Butch Vig, the latter currently basking in the Grammy award for Best Rock Album given to Green Day's '21st Century Breakdown,' an album he co-produced.
Garbage's previous album, 'Bleed Like Me', came out in 2005, though in 2007 they released a best-of compilation entitled 'Absolute Garbage'.
In the mean time Manson has been busy forging an acting career, appearing in US TV series 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles'. Last year, she also became a character in the 'Guitar Hero 5' computer game.
