Jonsi Announces North American Tour, New EP Release

Sigur Rós front man Jón Thor Birgisson, better known as Jonsi, has announced a full tour of North America to support his forthcoming solo album 'Go.'The nine-track album -- with strings arranged by Antony and the Johnsons composer Nico Muhly -- will now be released worldwide on Apr.5, with a three-track EP 'Go Do' preceding on Mar. 22. The title track 'Go Do' can be heard here. The EP will also feature the tracks 'Kolniður' and 'Grow Till Tall.'
Jonsi's solo world tour will be see the Icelandic musician collaborate with theatre company 59 Productions to create a stage set which fits the music -- and he will also be joined by a brand new band on the road.
The singer recently revealed to Spinner that Sigur Ros have scrapped the album they were working on in 2009, and will start again after they have had a break to be with their families.
The European leg will be announced in the coming weeks, but it the meantime, these are the first Jonsi dates announced:
