Frances Bean Cobain Makes Singing Debut

Bizarre musical collaborations are nothing new -- just check the pairing of David Bowie and Bing Crosby for evidence. But 2010 has just thrown up one of the best. According to Twentyfourbit.com, Frances Bean Cobain -- the daughter of Courtney Love and the late Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain -- is set to make her singing debut on a track that includes contributions from My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way, Andrew WK, Tegan and Sara and, er, Weird Al Yankovic.

They all appear on a track called 'My Space' which is set to feature on the new eponymous debut album of Evelyn Evelyn, the side-project of Dresden Dolls singer Amanda Palmer and Seattle-based musician Jason Webley. The pair claim to be "conjoined twins who had spent their lives trapped in the circus industry."

The 17-year-old Frances Bean is about to find herself in good company as also set to appear on the album are - deep breath - former Hold Steady keyboardist Franz Nicolay, Margaret Cho, Eugene Mirman and various members of Mindless Self Indulgence who count Gerard Way's wife Lyn-Z (see what she did there?) among their number.

The album is scheduled for a Mar. 30 release and the duo will tour Europe and North America shortly afterwards.

Most of you need to re-read the article, or other information about this debut. Do you see how many people are on the album, joining her in singing one song? You won't be able to specifically hear her...it's not like she cut her own album!!
It would probably do you all some good to see if you can obtain a copy of the movie, "About a Son"

Other than that, your spelling and grammar sucks too much to be commenting about anything!

she could sound like a screeching weasel and still have more talent than miley cyrus.

To rj and charles...are you experts at all aware that there are some that think that Kurt had help to reach his death? I remember the story that he had wanted to change his will to cut out the skank. Now I am an over the hill person that never did listen to their music, but the details I have read did raise questions for me.

Hmm, the beginning of the end? Frances: Your father was a boy the dictionary would define as an "unresponsible and uncaring junky." He picked up a guitar one day, made some songs and as Bukowski would say, "slipped through." Though some of the ill brained people of this planet feel it necessary to idolize and worship someone who felt it was a better decision to leave the child he brought into this world because times were oh so tough for him rather than being a man and leaving the business (the source of his depression) and focusing on the only thing that should have mattered and most likely would have given him obscene amounts of joy at that point in time it should be understood that in some peoples eyes he was a loser for doing that to you. I've lived in L.A. all my life and hollywood for 20 years and after all I've seen I have only this to say: Be smart, make wise decisions and always have your wits about you. As Beau Bridges said in the movie "Hotel New Hampshire," "pass the open windows"..........

She's beautiful. She has her father's eyes. I hope she doesn't follow in her mother's footsteps. Nothing good has ever come from Courtney Love. RIP Kurt. Hopefully your daughter will bear your true legacy to light.

This girl does not live with her mother and does not talk to her, she must be smart. Hope she makes it.
