Do you get really annoyed by people carrying enormous swathes of fabric on large sticks at festivals? Or do you think they add to the colour and ambience? Well, music fans who are heading to this year's Glastonbury festival are being given a chance to have their say.In the wake of news that flags are to be banned at this year's Download after an earlier ban at Reading and Leeds, Glastonbury organisers have opened an online poll at GlastonburyFestivals.co.uk -- where 7,239 people have already cast their vote.
By 9am on Thursday (Feb. 4), 60.12% of voters said flags should be kept, with the remaining 39.88% saying 'ban them.'
The event website commented, "Our gut feeling here at Festival HQ is that they shouldn't be banned, as we think they add to the magic of a big Pyramid stage performance," adding, "it's clearly something you feel passionate about."
U2 have been confirmed to headline the first night of the three day Somerset bash on Jun. 25, whilst it looks like Muse and Stevie Wonder will join them as headline acts, after organiser Michael Eavis let slip at a trade conference on Tuesday (Feb. 2).
