Due March 23, new tracks slated for the rerelease include 'Rollerskating,' 'Happy Accident,' 'Someone's Love' and 'I Know You.' According to details from label Saddle Creek, the Bright Eyes songs were recorded in Omaha last fall with producer Mike Mogis at his ARC Studios. Fans who pre-order 'One Jug of Wine, Two Vessels' will score a digital version on March 9, two weeks ahead of its official street date.
So what about Conor's plans to give Bright Eyes the big kiss off? Last summer, Oberst -- who was then participating in the supergroup Monsters of Folk -- told Rolling Stone he wanted to "retire" the Bright Eyes name and said he intended to make one final album with the band. "It does feel like it needs to stop at some point. I'd like to clean it up, lock the door, say goodbye," he said.
But just two weeks ago, Bright Eyes performed together live for the first time in two years at a relief show held at Omaha's Slowdown. Meanwhile there are purported plans for a new and perhaps final studio disc expected in the fall of 2010.
