Gorillaz, 'Murdoc' -- Video Premiere

gorillazBeing a member of a cartoon band is a gig a lot of flesh-and-blood musicians would kill for -- there are no interviews, obligations or other banal realities of stardom to worry about.

In that spirit, Gorillaz are prepping for the release of their new album, 'Plastic Beach,' with a promotional video that's firmly set within their fictional universe. In this clip, simply titled 'Murdoc,' the animated bassist sets off on his journey to Plastic Beach with some cash and champagne. Unfortunately, an unnamed nemesis has other plans. It's very funny and it's amazing that Gorillaz do something new. But I wonder where 2D, Noodle and Russel are. It's not the same just whith Murdoc.

Hahaha it was short, but it was so awesome! It's so smooth, it's feels almost like good old pencil animation, the old kind better way! I can't wait to see 2D, Noodle and... maybe, just maybe, Russell... this way :D!
