Phoenix Confirmed For Their First UK Festival Headliner

2010 is gearing up to be seriously busy year for Gallic soft-rockers Phoenix. As previously reported on Spinner, the band are busying themselves with their first movie soundtrack for 'Lost In Translation' director Sofia Coppola's forthcoming film, 'Sometime'. Now comes the news that Phoenix are set to headline their first British festival.The band are set to top the bill at this summer's Field Day festival in London's Victoria Park on Jul. 31 and joining them will be Icelandic female four-piece and Sigur Ros collaborators Amiina, experimental folkie Beth Jeans Houghton and upcoming ethereal post-rockers Ebsen & The Witch. Also appearing will be Caribou, Max Tundra and Mouse On Mars.
Festival organiser Tom Baker said, "I am really excited to have Phoenix headline, a great live band and a band that will get you dancing and singing. The rest of the bill is really shaping up, there are so many great albums out in 2010, it feels like an exciting time for music."
Tickets for Field Day - now in its fourth year - are on sale now priced £33.33.
