Oasis in Brit Awards Snub?

Despite being in the running for the Best Album of the Last 30 Years honour at next week's Brit Awards, organisers are fearful neither Gallagher brother will turn up. It was reported on Spinner last week that Liam Gallagher was keen to attend, if only to gain a sense of closure to the Oasis saga if the band won. However, a "friend" of the warring brothers told the Mirror newspaper, "Liam and Noel Gallagher have still not spoken since they split. Things are so bad that Noel is moving into a new house at the moment and is so off radar, Liam doesn't even know the address."
The source added, "Everyday the BRITs are on the phone checking to see if they are coming, but there is still no answer from either of them. It's as if one is waiting for the other to crack and apologise. Liam's thinking he'll leave it until the last minute and will decide if he's going on the day itself."
The news that the award organisers are so desperate for the Gallaghers to appear -- coupled with the fact that bookies have stopped taking bets on Oasis' second album, '(What's the Story) Morning Glory,', walking away with the gong -- has fuelled speculation that the award is theirs. Oasis face competition from Dire Straits, Phil Collins and Keane.
