The Strokes 'Nervous' About Live Return

It seems that the four-year gap between albums and live action has left the Strokes' drummer Fab Mortetti with more than a case of jitters as he gears up for the New York band's return to the stage at the Rock Ness and Isle of Wight festivals."I'm nervous as hell," he told BBC 6 Music. "It's giving me butterflies in my stomach. To be honest, I haven't really been thinking about the old songs as we're so into recording these new ones.
"It's less the songs themselves and more the response from the band that I miss terribly. I'm excited."
With the band working with producer Joe Chiccarelli on their fourth and as-yet-unnamed album -- slated for a September release -- Moretti conceded that revisiting their old material would take some work.
He said, "We're going to rehearse as soon as we get out of the studio. As soon as we're done recording, we're going to go in and practice all those old songs."
One thing that has cheered the sticksman up is finding out that Fatboy Slim, ex-Stone Roses singer Ian Brown and Mancunian trio Doves have been added to the Rock Ness bill which takes place between Jun. 11 - 13 -- the same weekend as the Isle of Wight Festival.
"I'm excited," he admitted. "That's awesome, Doves are our old pals. I'm going to have a good time saying hello to those guys."
