Those of you thinking that the return of Brooklyn indie quintet the National was too modest by far will have plenty to celebrate with the news that their tour has been considerably expanded.
Included in the expanded itinerary are an appearance at the Big Ears Festival in March as well as a hometown gig at Brooklyn's Prospect Park Bandshell which has been confirmed for Jul. 27. The former -- along with the Music Now festival -- has been co-curated by guitarist Bryce Dessner.
The National's fifth album -- the title of which is still shrouded in mystery -- is set to drop sometime in May and will be their first full-length release since 2007's 'Boxer'.
