The Brit Awards 2010 got off to a bonkers start when Dizzee Rascal was named Best British Male Solo Artist on Tuesday night (Feb. 16). The rapper, whose smash hits include 'Dance Wiv Me', 'Bonkers' and 'Holiday' beat off competition from Calvin Harris, Mika, Paolo Nutini and Robbie Williams. The award was presented by actor Andy Serkis who recently played 70s rocker Ian Dury.
Dressed in a smart, shiny suit, Dizzee Rascal commented, "About time!" before accepting the award.
Later, in an interview with presenter Fearne Cotton he thanked his mum -- something he had forgotten to do on stage.
