Jay-Z Wins International Male Solo Artist Brit Award

Hip hop superstar Jay-Z won the award for International Male Solo Artist at the Brit Awards on Tuesday night (Feb. 16).The rapper beat competition from Bruce Springsteen, Eminem and Seasick Steve, aswell as crooner Michael Buble, to take the award.
Striding to the stage in a smart three-piece suit, Jay-Z made reference to his controversial headlining of Glastonbury in 2008.
He said, "Glastonbury, where everybody was open to the fact that hip hop was playing, and we proved that hip hop could play anywhere in the world."
Jay-Z is to play London's Wireless and the Isle of Wight festival this summer.
