Rage Against the Machine Confirmed for Download

Rage Against the Machine have announced that they will join Aerosmith as headliners of Download Festival this summer. The announcement was made on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show on Monday night (Feb. 15). Confirmation of the headlining slot comes days after the news the Californian rock troupe will play a free show in London's Finsbury Park on Jun. 6 to thank fans for making 'Killing in the Name' Christmas number one last year.
Guitarist Tom Morello is quoted as saying, "Due to the insane demand for tickets for the free Rage show in Finsbury Park, we have decided to jump on this year's Download Festival as well and spread the Rage Factor around the country a bit."
This year's Download takes place on Jun. 11 to 13 and also features AC/DC and Them Crooked Vultures. What you won't see at this year's Download, is flags in the main arena, of course.
Tickets for Download are available now and cost £180 for five days camping, and £170 for three days.
