Matisyahu Offers Exclusive Collaboration in Remix Contest

Have you ever wanted to write a song with Matisyahu? Well, now's your chance, thanks to a new contest. Unfortunately, it's not as simple as putting your name in a hat.

Thanks to a competition set up by music creation website Indaba, fans of the Hasidic reggae MC can remix his song, 'One Day,' for the chance to win a variety of prizes. The top 10 finalists will have their tracks featured on Matisyahu's official site and MySpace page, and will automatically win Skull Candy Agent headphones. Both the first prize and grand prize winners win a year's membership to Indaba pro and a signed vinyl copy of Matisyahu's latest studio effort, 'Light.' The grand prize remixer gets to work with Matis on a new tune through Indaba.

Even if you're not a hardcore Matisyahu fan, you may have heard 'One Day' recently -- the song was featured in NBC's pre-Olympics 'Countdown to Vancouver' and the MC even performed at the games twice earlier this week. The contest, which is open now, ends March 11, after which Indaba members will vote on their favorites during a two-week period.
