Lily Allen's 'Unsuitability' Breaks Tory Leader's iPod Connector

After attempting to raise his street cred by professing a love of the Smiths, the Jam and Radiohead -- bands all noted for their opposition to Tory policy -- Conservative leader David Cameron has decided that he's firmly not with the kids when it comes to Brit Award-winning singer Lily Allen.Speaking to Shortlist, the Prime Ministerial hopeful explained that Allen's songs, with their frequent references to drugs and sexual activity, were not suitable for his six-year-old daughter. A subsequent disagreement about the singer with his daughter lead to the demise of his iPod.
He said, "I got one of those [iPod] connections for the car and my daughter is obsessed by Lily Allen, who I think is slightly unsuitable. So a bit of a fight takes place. 'I want to listen to Lily Allen.' 'No, it's 'The Jungle Book.' And in the tussle it broke [the connector]."
He then professed a liking for Florence and the Machine's 'Lungs' which he helped send to number one as well as a penchant for country and western: "I bought Florence and the Machine recently. I have the occasional country-and-western moments too. Eilen Jewell -- very good."
It is not known whether the incumbent Prime Minister Gordon Brown still starts his day with a rousing blast of Arctic Monkeys.

I don't think Lilly Allen is suitable for a 6yr old either but I'm 50 and I think she rocks!
