Punk pioneers the Fall have announced they will be releasing their latest album on Apr. 26, entitled 'Your Future Our Clutter.' This will be the outfit's first release on their new label Domino, having signed to the independent in April last year. The LP -- the 28th release for the Fall -- was originally thought to be due in June 2010, following an interview between the band's frontman and the Quietus.'Your Future Our Clutter' will feature nine-tracks which were recorded at a number of locations across the north of England and is set to include last year's 7" 'Slippy Floor' as well as the interestingly titled 'Bury Pts 1+3', that references Mark E Smith's hometown near Manchester.
The cult band consists of original founding member and vocalist Smith, alongside members Eleni Poulou (keyboards/vocals), Peter "PP" Greenaway (guitars), Dave "The Eagle" Spurr (bass) and Keiron Melling (drums); all of who also recorded with Smith on previous LP 'Imperial Wax Solvent' in Apr. 2008.
The band are also set to play a UK tour around the album's release date, beginning in Edinburgh's Studio 24 (Apr. 24), taking in All Tomorrow's Parties (May 16) and ending at the Balne Lane Working Men's Club in Wakefield (May 21).Smith has previously worked on the Domino imprint for his Von Südenfed collaboration project with Düsseldorf duo Mouse on Mars. Their singular album 'Tromatic Reflexxions' was released on the label in 2007 and there have been no indications of a repeat since such time.
