Roger Daltrey Reveals Gallagher Guest Spot Bid

The estranged Gallagher brothers may not be the best of friends at the moment, but that hasn't stopped Who singer Roger Daltrey trying to get them in the same room again (albeit a few days apart). The singer has revealed that he called Oasis' Liam Gallagher in a bid to persuade him to guest star in the Who's Teenage Cancer Trust show on Mar. 30. The gig will round off a star-studded Spring schedule for the charity, which has booked nine gigs at London's Royal Albert Hall. The first performance, Depeche Mode, took place last week.
"I actually rung Liam to be part of the Who night, but he's otherwise engaged," Daltrey told Absolute Radio recently. "We've actually got room for two guests, and anyone who wants to turn up and do something after we do 'Quadrophenia', just to round off the night, you know -- let's see what happens."
Gallagher's brother and former Oasis bandmate Noel will definitely be showing his face at the Albert Hall -- he's booked to play two solo shows during the Teenage Cancer Trust concert series, on Mar. 25 and 26. Other acts set to grace the famous stage for a good cause include Them Crooked Vultures (Mar. 22), a reformed Suede (Mar. 24) and the Arctic Monkeys (Mar. 27).
