T In The Park now has a full complement of headliners, thanks to the addition of Eminem and Muse, announced on Tuesday (Feb. 23). They join Brit winners Kasabian, who had already been announced as the Sunday headliners. Detroit's favourite son Eminem will play the Saturday night, his first gig in the UK since 2003, and his first festival appearance since the Reading and Leeds festivals in 2001. Muse, meanwhile, will headline Friday, presumably with one of those big stage show things they do. Expect some ticker tape and lasers.
The news doesn't end there though -- other members of the upper echelons have been added, in the form of Jay-Z (not headlining, strangely), Dizzee Rascal and Florence and the Machine.
Other bands added include 30 Seconds To Mars, the Cribs, Vampire Weekend, the Temper Trap, Biffy Clyro, La Roux, The Coral, the Courteeners, Gossip and Wolfmother. Those in the mood for dancing will find solace with youngsters Calvin Harris and Hot Chip, and hardy perennials/festival veterans the Prodigy and Faithless.
Also contained within today's lengthy announcement was the revelation that Fancy Dress Friday will be back. Yes.
Canadian collective Broken Social Scene, Four Tet and Brooklynites Dirty Projectors have also been signed up. Other additions include Empire of the Sun, Mumford and Sons, Stereophonics, Goldfrapp, Ellie Goulding, Skunk Anansie, the Stranglers and The Proclaimers.
Tickets go on sale this Friday (Feb. 26), at 9AM from the usual outlets, for around £190. With that line-up, you should probably set your alarm.
