Manchester indie rockers the Courteeners will be hitting the road this June for the long drive down to the Isle of Wight. The Liam Fray-led fourpiece are the latest additions to the line-up for the 2010 Isle of Wight Festival, which is set to take place in Newport from June 11th to the 13th.Also newly added to the bill are Birmingham's Editors, London indie-folkers Noah and the Whale (pictured) and California-based singer-songwriter Devendra Banhart. The three-day bash is set to be headlined by Jay-Z and the back-from-hiatus Strokes, who will presumably be debuting material from their long-awaited fourth album.
Other big names set to cross the Solent this summer include Blondie, Vampire Weekend, Florence and the Machine, Biffy Clyro, Friendly Fires and Doves. La Roux, Orbital and James have also been booked to play the second stage.
Tickets to weekender, which are on sale now, cost £150, including camping.
