Foals have finally finished their second album, and have announced it shall be titled 'Total Life Forever.' Announced via a Myspace post, it will be out on May 10. Adding to the mystery, they also said "something pretty, pretty, pretty good will be happening on the airwaves this coming Monday."
The post also announces that there shall be a revamped foals.co.uk in due course. Yannis Philippakis said: "This will be our new HQ as we slowly withdraw from the world of social nettwerking [sic]. Go check it out, it'll be fully operational over the next few weeks."
The band also announced some forthcoming shows:
Berlin Columbia Club, Germany (Apr. 12)
Amsterdam Paradiso, Netherlands (Apr. 14)
Paris Trabendo, France (Apr. 15)
Bourges Le Printemps de Bourges festival, France (Apr. 17)
The album has been recorded in Svenska Grammofon, in Gothenburg, Sweden, over the past year or so. In a previous Myspace post Edwin Congreave said the songs sound like "sort of like an inside-out chicken in glorious technicolour, but a bit more vegetarian and a bit less funk."
Yannis has said "we are not gonna make a tropical prog record." With songs, or any titles, yet to surface we can only guess what the new one sound like.
