If Jack White wasn't busy enough with three bands and a record label, Pitchfork reports that the White Stripes/Raconteurs/Dead Weather main man has found time to produce the debut solo album by his wife, model-turned-singer Karen Elson. The effort, titled 'The Ghost Who Walks,' will see release this summer through White's Third Man Records.Recorded at the label's Nashville studio and compound, interested parties can score a free download of the title track now via Elson's official website. She first aligned creatively with the man born John Anthony Gillis when she appeared in the White Stripes' Flora Sigismondi-directed 'Blue Orchid' clip. Shortly after that 2005 video shoot, White and the model tied the knot.
The disc isn't Elson's first step towards a musical career. Back in 2006, she performed a cover of Serge Gainsbourg's 'Je T'aime Moi Non Plus' with Cat Power. She has also performed with the Citizens Band, a cabaret group.
