LCD Soundsystem Complete Album Number Three

In a brief announcement on the LCD Soundsystem website James Murphy announced the completion of the band's third record.

Murphy said: "So some stuff happened. Looks like we added another Paris gig. Oh, and something else. The f---ing record is done."

Keeping it multimedia, he added on Twitter, "Mixing last song right now to send to the amazing bob weston to master. meaning, record DONE. i hope people like it."

Going by the Twitter feed, it hasn't been an easy process. Previous Tweets included, "So desperate to socialize with another human being not in a studio that he might go to the deli and buy a sandwich he doesn't want."

Murphy also wrote, "Back from the brink and back in the box. studio, I hate you. and love you. Kill me. Just f------ kill me."

During the recording process several videos have been posted onto the band's website, providing a visual insight into the process. The first is below. Be warned, there is both swearing, a beautiful mansion and men dressed all in white. Go here for more.

Promotion for the record starts with an already announced tour, which will take Murphy and company to:

Glasgow Barrowlands (Apr. 28, 29)
Manchester University (May 1)
Bristol O2 Academy (May 2)

The band also play Bestival, across the Solent on the Isle of Wight on Sep. 9. Of course, if you like LCD Soundsystem and transatlantic travel enough, then you can also catch them at Sasquatch, Bonaroo and the Pitchfork Music Festival.
