Disabled AC/DC Fan Seriously Injured at Show

A quadriplegic fan of Australian rock monoliths AC/DC was seriously injured at one of the band's concerts in Brisbane, Australia. The 31-year-old man suffered severe facial injuries when his friend accidentally pressed the joystick on his motorised wheelchair, sending him careering into the crowded moshpit.Witnesses described how the man ended up with a metal pin used to manoeuvre objects from his wheelchair embedded in his eye after falling from the wheelchair podium on to the floor at the Queensland Sport and Athletic Centre on Saturday night (Feb. 27).
The venue has faced criticism for not ensuring an appropriate barrier was in place to prevent such an accident. Both the side and rear edges of the podium were protected by barriers, with the front merely protected by a strip of timber and some tape.
A witness said the man's friend was "shattered, just devastated by what happened," while the injured man is said to be out of intensive care and in a serious but stable condition.
The concert was the second of two sold-out AC/DC shows in Brisbane, and attracted more than 45,000 people.

AC/DC are good guys - hopefully they reach out to this fan and provide him with a live recording of this show or something. It wouldn't surprise me if they drop in to visit him at some point. It's the least they could do for such a dedicated fan.
That and changing up the setlist. Could their live show be any safer?
