Gogol Bordello Reveal 'Trans-Continental Hustle' Album, Tour Details
- Posted on Mar 1st 2010 9:29PM by Benjy Eisen

On Monday, Gogol Bordello announced details of their new album, entitled 'Trans-Continental Hustle.' Produced by Rick Rubin, the disc will drop on April 27 and it will no doubt be informed by Hutz's latest adventures in South America. A long way away from their humble beginnings as a Russian wedding band in New York, the group will make a one-off return to the city on March 9 for a Haiti relief benefit concert at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza. And yes, they plan to preview material from 'Trans-Continental Hustle' that night.
After that, Gogol Bordello will head to Australia for a series of festival gigs before returning to North America in April for the 'Casa Gogol' tour. Instead of having a traditional opener, they've invited DeVotchKa, Jesse Malin, St. Mark's Social and Tres Leches Afterparty Sound Crew to all join in the festivities. Then, in May and June, the band will tour Europe.

Tommy T (of Gogol Bordello) is already active on the Haiti relief front -- he just posted a couple of high-def videos of him and his Abyssinia Roots Collective, playing tracks from his new solo album here: http://indiemusicforhaiti.com.
