As the wave of hype builds, The Drums carry on releasing pure, unadulterated indie pop singles following 2009's 'Summertime' EP. 'Best Friend' will be the first single from The Drums' forthcoming but as yet untitled, debut album and has already made BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe's "hottest record" list.

plus you must admit the whole turning on the tape player thing, presumably as a fingers up to all the bad press they've gotten for using backing tracks live, is pretty damn cool. its seems to me that this is a young band who are doing what they want to do instead of what record company bosses think they should do. maybe i'm reading too much into this. i need to get a life...
this is the best god damn video i've seen from a 'hottly tipped band' in years. man the balls! seriously i was suspect of these lads, seen them live three times and at first i thought the hype was just that but these guys are signed to some big label and probably could have gotten anybody to do a video for them, but then they come out with this stripped down self directed slice of unadulterated genius! i am now officially in love with this band. they are the saviours of pure, unpretentious, sing along at the top your voice indie pop. keep it up and the haters will have to join the party or look away and die a little inside . . .
