Britain's festival fever shows no signs of abating. At Spinner, we can remember the days when you could decide on a whim to pile in a camper van late Friday afternoon, flip a silver coin to the crusty at the festival entrance, bag yourself a prime campsite next to the bongo drum circle, and still make it down the front of the main stage in time to catch Chumbawamba. Nowadays, summer weekends of mud and music are so popular that planning has to begin in the depths of midwinter, a few minutes after the tickets go on sale.Scotland's T in the Park is the latest bash to sell out in a matter of moments. All tickets for the Jul. 9 to 11 weekender were snapped up within an hour and a half of becoming available today. The line-up for T features headline slots from Muse, Eminem and Kasabian. Another names on the bill include Jay-Z (apparently less famous than Eminem in Scotland?), the Black Eyed Peas, the Prodigy, Faithless and the Stereophonics.
Native sons Biffy Clyro, Paolo Nutini, Calvin Harris and, um, the Proclaimers are also set to grace the Perth and Kinross stage, while big-hitters like Florence and the Machine, the Cribs, Hot Chip and Vampire Weekend also feature.
